My leadership philosophy is: empower everyone to take ownership and try new initiatives. Here are the major leadership roles I’ve taken on.
President, UCSB ACM
Leading UCSB’s largest CS organization with 29 officers and 200+ members
Promoted from ICPC Branch Co-Head → Vice President → President
Together, my officers and I:
- Organized technical workshops, guest speaker events, coding project series, etc.
- Hosted Google, Meta, and Amazon recruiting events at UCSB
- Secured student project contracts with Raytheon, UnwrapAI, PWC, and Turing AI
Elections Commissioner, UCSB Associated Students
Planned, executed, and moderated UCSB Associated Students Elections
Clubs Commissioner, Cupertino ASB
- Oversaw 84 student clubs and organizations at CHS
- Reformed the CHS Clubs Ecosystem by rewriting the Clubs Handbook with minimal bureaucracy
- Reformed the New Clubs Application process by reducing it from 5 steps to 3 steps
- Doubled the PTSA Clubs Grant from $250 to $500
- Developed TinoClubs.com to streamline clubs discovery
All of the above innovations are still in effect and have continued to make a difference at Cupertino High School long since I've graduated
Founding Producer & News Anchor, Tino News Today
Founded Cupertino High School's TV Newscast program from ground up.
- Aired school bulletins, news, and journalistic content to 2,000 students 2 episodes per week
- Grew Tino News Today from a solo endeavor to a team of 20 anchors, writers, and video editors
- Grew the programming from pure school bulletins to world news, student interviews, trivia, sports coverage, and beyond
Tino News Today has continued to be active and grow in its programming long since my graduation.
